How I think
Marketing should always be tied to clear objectives. It’s easy to chase creative ideas that look great but completely miss the brief. A campaign that doesn’t serve a strategic goal is just noise.
Strategy is the north star that gives direction to creativity. Tactics and experimentation are important, but they should always lead to a common goal. Otherwise, marketing becomes a scattergun approach with lots of activity and little impact.
Marketing should be creative, it should engage, but it must also drive results. The best marketing balances creativity with commercial objectives, ensuring it doesn’t just look good, but actually works.
